Unter welchen Bedingungen kann sich beraterisches Handeln als professionell verstehen? Und was hat das Nachdenken über diese Frage mit der Chaosforschung und der Doppelpendelbewegung zu tun? Der vorliegende Beitrag plädiert für den nicht unumstrittenen Anspruch, beraterisches Handeln und die Steuerung der Beratungsorganisation konsequent als eine Einheit, als verkoppelt zu betrachten. Ihre Wechselwirkung, d.h. die Wechselwirkung von Beratungssystem/-prozess und (Organisations-)Umwelt, kann im Sinne einer Doppelpendelbewegung interpretiert werden. Das Doppelpendel beschreibt einen Bewegungsverlauf, der sich durch die Kombination von zwei in sich verlässlichen und vorhersehbaren Bewegungen ergibt, die nach kurzer Zeit eine unvorhersehbare und unberechenbare Dynamik zeigen. Erläutert wird der Anspruch der Verkoppelung von beraterischem Handeln und der Steuerung der Beratungsorganisation anhand zweier professionstheoretischer Modelle aus der bildungswissenschaftlichen Debatte. Schlusswort der Autoren ist: Allein die systematische Koppelung und gemeinsame, partizipative Steuerung von "Organisation" und "Beratung" lässt das beschei­dene Ziel, nämlich "beherrschbares Chaos", in greifbare Nähe rücken. English Abstract

Under what conditions can counselling actions be understood to be professional? And what does contemplation of this question have to do with chaos research and double pendulum motion? This article argues the case for the not uncontroversial approach to view counselling actions and the control of counselling organizations consistently as a unit, as being coupled together. Their interaction, i.e. the interaction between the counselling system/process and the (organizational) environment, can be interpreted as the motion of a double pendulum. The double pendulum describes a course of motion that arises from the combination of two movements that are intrinsically reliable and predictable that after a short time exhibit an unforeseeable and unpredictable dynamic. The approach to the coupling of counselling action with control of the counselling organization is explained using two professional theoretical models borrowed from the educational science debate. The conclusion of the authors is that only the systematic coupling and joint, participative control of “organization” and “counselling” bring the modest goal of “controllable chaos” into reach.
