Die künstlerisch-biografieorientierte Methode SICH VERZEICHNEN will die Entwicklung eines reflexiven Selbstverständnisses und die Handlungsfähigkeit stärken. Sie besteht aus einer Abfolge von Exkursionen, dem Herzeigen, Deuten und Besprechen von selbst gezeichneten Karten und der Niederschrift von Karteninhalten. Autorin Mikki Muhr stellt die von ihr entwickelte Methode zur Debatte.

English Abstract

In the following article, the author puts forward SICH VERZEICHNEN (the German reflexive verb “sich verzeichnen” can mean “to register oneself”, “to indicate one’s position on a map” and “to make a mistake when drawing”), the artistic and education-oriented method that she has developed, for discussion. The method consists of a sequence of going on joint excursions, drawing, showing and interpreting maps (personal freehand sketches, comparable to cognitive maps) and writing down the content of the maps. SICH VERZEICHNEN is greatly based on the differences in describing and evaluating surroundings, situations, experiences and insights. The experiences of the author showed that the development of a reflective, (professional) self-concept and/or the ability to act can be encouraged in rehearsed or unaccustomed sequences or “surroundings” when the method is applied in museum programms (adults and pupils), university teaching, an intergenerational research project and a continuing education workshop.
