English Abstract

How can teachers' competence in designing teaching processes be promoted? What possibilities and benefits does case-based learning allow? And: What does didactics based on curriculum theory achieve? This article presents the concept of net-supported video case-based learning using the example of the online case laboratory. This concept is based on real cases from educational practice that are made available in video format and integrated into an internet-based learning environment. Through analysis and discussion of these real video cases, class-related, didactic or theoretical questions concerning teaching or learning can be dealt with. This makes case-based learning - which already plays an integral part in many professional fields - applicable in adult education as well, whenever and wherever it is needed. This article introduces the main features of the concept of video case-based learning, which is oriented towards didactics based on curriculum theory, and presents the first general findings from its testing in practice.
