Unter Beteiligung der Südwind Agentur erprobt ein internationales Projekt derzeit die Sensibilisierung von Menschen über 50 für Fragestellungen der Globalisierung und erarbeitet eigens Lehr-Lernmaterialien hierfür. Das Herzstück des Projekts bildet eine 15-tägige Workshopreihe. Darüber hinaus gibt es Vorträge, Schulungen von MultiplikatorInnen und eine Ausstellung. Der erlebnisnahe Bericht zeigt unter anderem, wie Ältere zur Partizipation ermutigt werden.

English Abstract

The project Global Generation runs until the end of 2012 under the direction of the Berliner Weltfriedensdienst e.V. association in Germany, Austria and Hungary. In Austria, the project is coordinated by Südwind Agentur and follows the concept of Global Learning. The aim is to sensitize people over fifty as well as disseminators and the general public increasingly to questions of globalisation. In all three countries, lectures are being organised, disseminators are being trained, an exhibition is being shown and teaching materials for working with people in the third and fourth ages of life are being developed. The heart of the project is a 15-day workshop in five modules exclusively for this target group. This article describes the objective, approach and results of the project Global Generation and provides insight into the workshop from the perspective of Südwind.
