English Abstract

In the process of ageing, the topic of health - physical as well as psychological health - is becoming increasingly important. Health education and health promotion are thus essential tasks of (continuing) education, above all for older people, to facilitate and maintain a high quality of life in old age. This article presents "Mind Health" and "Mental Health Promotion Handbooks", two European projects dedicated to this task. The projects are concerned with the training and continuing education of executives and professionals so that they are qualified to implement measures by themselves that promote psychological health and thereby foster health competence in older people.
